Carnauba wax is the core ingredient that makes this best for high carbon steel. It fills light scratches and shines the surface. Vitamin E oil prevents it from ever spoiling. Linseed oil is where the color comes from. Beeswax and coconut oil as the core, and fragrance for Flair. WOOOOOOOO!

What you get is some pretty well rounded blade wax. For Blades, apply a fog layer on the blade, let sit for 5 minutes, wipe off residue. A hard and mostly invisible wax layer will be left behind. Reapply after each use of the blade. Coat and leave fog layer for storage. I would suggest Bolt Butter for leather, but if Mad Wax is all you have, just do the same, let it soak in and wipe off the residue after an hour or so.

  • For improved workability, I've added additional coconut oil and removed a bit of the carnauba wax. The carnauba wax is still present and adding to the lustre of whatever you use it on. This is a food safe blade wax that you can use to protect carbon steel from the moisture of the air. It shines and protects. If you are looking to remove rust, this is not the product. This is for after you remove the rust, to prevent corrosion.
